Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 3.04%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 3.04% to hit a new 1-month low, while the index lost 2.74%, and the index declined 1.80%.

The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 0.80% or 3.20 points to trade at 403.80 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) fell 0.03% or 0.01 points to end at 38.56 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.06% or 0.06 points to 93.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 12.71% or 1.45 points to trade at 9.96 at the close. Covestro AG (ETR:) declined 5.15% or 1.99 points to end at 36.62 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 4.87% or 0.52 points to 10.15.

The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 3.18% to 6.97, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 1.65% to settle at 57.82 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which gained 1.07% to close at 34.12.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 7.52% to 14.15 in late trade, Lanxess AG (ETR:) which lost 7.21% to settle at 38.49 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 6.54% to 31.13 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 1.32% to 14.57, Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which was up 1.07% to settle at 34.12 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.80% to close at 403.80.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 7.52% to 14.15 in late trade, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.28% to settle at 34.08 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 4.10% to 14.38 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 585 to 120 and 52 ended unchanged.

Shares in Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.06% or 0.06 to 93.54. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) fell to all time lows; losing 7.52% or 1.15 to 14.15. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) fell to all time lows; falling 7.52% or 1.15 to 14.15.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 20.48% to 23.94 a new 3-months high.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 2.49% or 46.50 to $1,913.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.45% or 1.88 to hit $74.80 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.42% or 2.00 to trade at $80.78 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.83% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 103.21.
