Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 1.59%

Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Retail, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 1.59%, while the MDAX index lost 3.32%, and the TecDAX index lost 3.02%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG), which rose 2.88% or 1.20 points to trade at 42.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) added 0.64% or 1.70 points to end at 267.00 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:HNKG_p) was up 0.41% or 0.26 points to 63.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which fell 8.33% or 2.01 points to trade at 22.12 at the close. HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) declined 6.82% or 1.85 points to end at 25.27 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was down 5.01% or 1.30 points to 24.63.
The top performers on the MDAX were Encavis AG (ETR:ECVG) which rose 3.05% to 22.27, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which was up 0.63% to settle at 54.72 and Fraport AG (ETR:FRAG) which unchanged 0.00% to close at 45.30.
The worst performers were Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which was down 8.66% to 4.86 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 7.88% to settle at 53.76 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 7.66% to 46.17 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 0.84% to 19.85, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was up 0.76% to settle at 53.00 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:O2Dn) which lost 0.48% to close at 2.51.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 7.88% to 53.76 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 7.49% to settle at 117.35 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 6.42% to 99.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 543 to 128 and 89 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 5.10% to 27.02.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 24.10 to $1,716.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.63% or 2.31 to hit $85.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.74% or 2.58 to trade at $91.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 1.15% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.08% at 109.26.
