Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 1.83%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.83%, while the index gained 2.01%, and the index climbed 1.79%.

The best performers of the session on the were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:), which rose 5.60% or 6.10 points to trade at 115.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) added 4.37% or 0.44 points to end at 10.40 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 4.28% or 0.43 points to 10.58 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.58% or 2.06 points to trade at 128.40 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 1.41% or 0.78 points to end at 54.62 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was down 0.78% or 0.34 points to 42.99.

The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (ETR:) which rose 5.40% to 21.48, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was up 5.21% to settle at 49.72 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which gained 4.63% to close at 257.70.

The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 1.86% to 6.84 in late trade, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.24% to settle at 41.50 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 0.78% to 34.27 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 6.21% to 35.90, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 5.34% to settle at 82.80 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 5.21% to close at 49.72.

The worst performers were Suse SA (ETR:) which was down 3.02% to 18.65 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.06% to settle at 14.41 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was down 0.78% to 42.99 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 525 to 153 and 82 ended unchanged.

Shares in Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.21% or 2.10 to 35.90.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 11.24% to 21.25.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.19% or 3.65 to $1,912.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 4.01% or 3.00 to hit $71.80 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 3.66% or 2.96 to trade at $77.81 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 103.21.
