Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 1.70%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.70% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 2.91%, and the index added 1.85%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 5.25% or 1.06 points to trade at 21.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 4.48% or 1.00 points to end at 23.31 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was up 3.56% or 4.06 points to 118.18 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.15% or 0.15 points to trade at 100.10 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) added 0.22% or 0.02 points to end at 8.63 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) was up 0.28% or 0.70 points to 246.60.

The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 9.13% to 34.80, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 8.53% to settle at 6.74 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which gained 6.88% to close at 2.02.

The worst performers were Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:) which was down 0.49% to 28.40 in late trade, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.11% to settle at 36.54 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 0.63% to 19.18 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.67% to 23.35, Varta AG (ETR:) which was up 6.19% to settle at 32.07 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 4.84% to close at 73.70.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 0.32% to 95.30 in late trade, Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 0.63% to settle at 19.18 and Suse SA (ETR:) which was up 0.76% to 17.26 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 527 to 162 and 67 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.98% or 16.15 to $1,665.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.10% or 0.93 to hit $85.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.01% or 0.93 to trade at $92.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 1.29% to 0.98, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.15% at 111.90.
