Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 1.09%
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.09% to hit a new 3-months high, while the index added 1.18%, and the index gained 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.16% or 1.42 points to trade at 35.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 3.48% or 9.90 points to end at 294.50 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 3.42% or 0.73 points to 22.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.76% or 0.30 points to trade at 39.26 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) declined 0.67% or 2.60 points to end at 387.50 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was down 0.61% or 0.30 points to 48.60.
The top performers on the MDAX were Puma SE (ETR:) which rose 3.50% to 58.48, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which was up 3.25% to settle at 29.82 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 3.19% to close at 32.99.
The worst performers were Befesa SA (ETR:) which was down 2.05% to 31.60 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 1.79% to settle at 24.18 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 1.11% to 83.98 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which rose 9.00% to 92.65, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.16% to settle at 35.70 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.90% to close at 20.00.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 1.79% to 24.18 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which lost 1.11% to settle at 83.98 and Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was down 0.60% to 65.90 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 404 to 212 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siltronic AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.00% or 7.65 to 92.65.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 13.52.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 3.60 to $2,043.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.49% or 1.14 to hit $77.55 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.18% or 0.96 to trade at $82.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 102.79.
