Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.79%, while the index gained 1.34%, and the index gained 1.71%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 5.40% or 19.30 points to trade at 376.40 at the close. Meanwhile, BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) added 3.38% or 1.34 points to end at 40.94 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was up 3.28% or 0.97 points to 30.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.51% or 2.53 points to trade at 98.42 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 1.41% or 0.82 points to end at 57.34 and Puma SE (ETR:) was down 0.83% or 0.40 points to 47.57.
The top performers on the MDAX were Varta AG (ETR:) which rose 10.80% to 32.52, Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was up 5.35% to settle at 31.68 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which gained 4.42% to close at 32.58.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 3.41% to 5.72 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 1.97% to settle at 19.90 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 1.42% to 37.40 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Varta AG (ETR:) which rose 10.80% to 32.52, Suse SA (ETR:) which was up 5.93% to settle at 16.08 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 5.40% to close at 376.40.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 1.97% to 19.90 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 1.46% to settle at 47.30 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.07% to 35.18 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 413 to 266 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.41% or 0.82 to 57.34. Shares in Puma SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.83% or 0.40 to 47.57.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.62% to 30.48.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.71% or 28.65 to $1,700.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.70% or 3.74 to hit $83.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 4.05% or 3.45 to trade at $88.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 0.98, while EUR/GBP fell 0.95% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 111.81.
