Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.74%, while the index climbed 0.99%, and the index added 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 5.25% or 0.61 points to trade at 12.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Qiagen NV (ETR:) added 2.62% or 1.05 points to end at 41.16 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:) was up 2.56% or 3.58 points to 143.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.48% or 0.43 points to trade at 28.56 at the close. Covestro AG (ETR:) declined 1.41% or 0.74 points to end at 51.84 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 0.91% or 1.30 points to 141.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which rose 5.89% to 99.16, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.89% to settle at 108.45 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which gained 2.83% to close at 92.75.
The worst performers were Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was down 2.32% to 26.54 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 1.89% to settle at 33.69 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which was down 0.90% to 60.35 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which rose 7.25% to 91.75, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 5.89% to settle at 99.16 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.02% to close at 36.50.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 1.89% to 33.69 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 1.42% to settle at 27.76 and PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was down 0.74% to 13.46 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 213 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Airbus Group SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.56% or 3.58 to 143.24. Shares in Siltronic AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.83% or 2.55 to 92.75. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.02% or 1.07 to 36.50.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.54% to 14.06.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.55% or 11.35 to $2,038.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 4.70% or 3.47 to hit $70.34 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 3.96% or 3.12 to trade at $75.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 101.80.
