Budrigannews.com – A survey conducted by the Ifo economic institute and released on Thursday showed that the manufacturing sector in Germany has experienced a decrease in material shortages.
According to Ifo, 48.4% of the companies surveyed reported issues in January, down from 50.7% in December.
According to a statement released by Klaus Wohlrabe, head of surveys at Ifo, “Given the mild winter recession that’s emerging, we would’ve liked to see a stronger decline.” High order backlogs are being worked through by many businesses slowly.
