Georgia Secretary of State Breda Raffensperger is being subpoenaed
Budrigannews.com – According to The Washington Post, U.S. Special Counsel Jack Smith has issued a subpoena to Clark County, Nevada authorities and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, bringing the total number of states in which officials have been summoned to six.
According to a copy of the summons, those summoned were required to appear before a grand jury, according to the Post. In the past, Smith summoned state or local officials in Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Michigan to inquire about their communications with Republican former President Donald Trump, his campaign, aides, and allies.
On Tuesday, a representative for Raffensperger declined to comment for the Post. According to the Post, Clark County in Nevada acknowledged receiving the subpoena for the custodian of records for its elections division.

The rumored subpoena, which is part of a federal investigation into efforts to overturn Trump’s defeat in the 2020 presidential election, could not be confirmed by Reuters.
Last month, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed war crimes prosecutor Smith to oversee the Department of Justice’s investigations into Trump, including his handling of sensitive documents.
“Any and all communications in any form to, from or involving” Trump or his campaign were the subject of the initial round of subpoenas, which were issued on Nov. 22 to officials in Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin. They were made public last week.
