Gasoline prices falling for 28 straight days

Budrigannews.com – With average gasoline prices falling for 28 straight days, the national map looks very different than it did about a month ago, when more than 40% of states were seeing prices higher than $5 a gallon. Now, just nine states are above the mark after Arizona fell below the threshold overnight, according to the latest data from auto club AAA. The national average now stands at $4.655 a gallon, down from a little over $5 a gallon at the same time last month, but still $1.51 higher than a year-ago. While oil prices have softened to around $100 a barrel, total US gasoline stockpiles are at their lowest seasonal level in seven years, meaning the relative relief at the pump may not last.
