FTX founder ready to testify
Budrigannews.com – FTX’s Sam Bankman-Broiled will affirm during a board hearing on Dec. 13, the cryptographic money trade’s pioneer said in a tweet on Friday, as controllers examine his job directly following its breakdown.
The tweet comes a day after Maxine Waters, Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee (NYSE:) told Reuters that she is working out the best way to subpoena Bankman-Fried and is prepared to do so if he does not agree to appear before the panel next week.
He tweeted, “I am willing to testify on the 13th.”
It was unclear whether he intended to attend the court in person or via video feed.
FTX sought financial protection last month after a liquidity emergency that saw something like $1 billion of client reserves disappear.
