France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.87%

Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.87%, while the index lost 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which rose 3.01% or 1.18 points to trade at 40.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:) added 2.50% or 54.00 points to end at 2,217.00 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was up 2.39% or 17.60 points to 752.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 2.10% or 2.20 points to trade at 102.80 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 1.93% or 0.46 points to end at 23.36 and Societe Generale SA (EPA:) was down 1.61% or 0.43 points to 26.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Soitec SA (EPA:) which rose 3.30% to 112.70, Eramet SA (EPA:) which was up 3.06% to settle at 104.30 and Vusiongroup SA (EPA:) which gained 3.03% to close at 146.00.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 6.68% to 1.09 in late trade, Valneva (EPA:) which lost 5.79% to settle at 3.81 and Lectra SA (EPA:) which was down 4.51% to 29.65 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 268 to 231 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atos SE (EPA:) fell to all time lows; down 6.68% or 0.08 to 1.09.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.16% or 27.25 to $2,374.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.53% or 0.39 to hit $73.64 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.42 to trade at $77.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 104.35.
