France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.12%

Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the gained 0.12%, while the index declined 0.34%.

The best performers of the session on the were Edenred SA (EPA:), which rose 1.59% or 0.86 points to trade at 55.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:) added 1.43% or 1.85 points to end at 130.85 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was up 1.15% or 0.78 points to 68.64 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:), which fell 1.54% or 0.61 points to trade at 38.56 at the close. Airbus Group SE (EPA:) declined 1.43% or 2.00 points to end at 137.88 and Safran SA (EPA:) was down 1.30% or 2.08 points to 158.12.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which rose 5.12% to 4.27, Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which was up 3.97% to settle at 22.02 and Virbac SA (EPA:) which gained 3.96% to close at 354.00.

The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA:) which was down 3.83% to 15.84 in late trade, Solvay SA (EBR:) which lost 3.16% to settle at 26.35 and Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 1.96% to 72.40 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 281 to 231 and 104 ended unchanged.

Shares in Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.15% or 0.78 to 68.64. Shares in Virbac SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.96% or 13.50 to 354.00.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.20% or 4.05 to $2,048.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.88% or 0.65 to hit $74.59 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.65 to trade at $79.88 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.93.
