Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 1.45%, while the index lost 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which rose 1.53% or 0.59 points to trade at 39.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:) added 0.96% or 2.00 points to end at 211.40 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 0.72% or 1.30 points to 182.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:), which fell 5.07% or 2.94 points to trade at 55.00 at the close. Vinci SA (EPA:) declined 3.08% or 3.46 points to end at 108.74 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was down 2.93% or 1.42 points to 47.12.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which rose 15.97% to 2.90, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which was up 4.35% to settle at 8.04 and SES Imagotag (EPA:) which gained 3.45% to close at 150.00.
The worst performers were Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:) which was down 6.99% to 14.23 in late trade, Vallourec (EPA:) which lost 5.72% to settle at 9.74 and CGG SA (EPA:) which was down 5.68% to 0.64 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 353 to 212 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:) fell to all time lows; down 6.99% or 1.07 to 14.23. Shares in SES Imagotag (EPA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.45% or 5.00 to 150.00.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.64% or 32.65 to $2,024.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 4.92% or 3.72 to hit $71.94 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 4.67% or 3.70 to trade at $75.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.69.
