France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.95%

France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.95%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.91%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 4.31% or 1.26 points to trade at 30.64 at the close. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) added 3.86% or 1.88 points to end at 50.56 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 3.84% or 3.69 points to 99.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 0.41% or 0.19 points to trade at 46.67 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) declined 0.08% or 0.03 points to end at 36.91 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was up 0.20% or 0.60 points to 296.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which rose 9.29% to 11.41, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was up 5.84% to settle at 9.83 and CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which gained 5.46% to close at 0.97.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 21.54% to 16.45 in late trade, Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which lost 3.25% to settle at 12.19 and Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which was down 3.08% to 10.54 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 371 to 179 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) fell to 5-year lows; falling 21.54% or 4.51 to 16.45. Shares in Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.25% or 0.41 to 12.19. Shares in Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.08% or 0.34 to 10.54.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.83% or 14.30 to $1,742.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.00% or 0.87 to hit $87.66 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.99 to trade at $93.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.05% to 1.01, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 107.81.
