Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 1.19% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index gained 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which rose 2.94% or 1.66 points to trade at 58.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) added 2.36% or 1.11 points to end at 48.15 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) was up 2.31% or 3.90 points to 172.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orange SA (EPA:), which fell 0.48% or 0.05 points to trade at 10.70 at the close. Worldline SA (EPA:) declined 0.27% or 0.09 points to end at 33.50 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was down 0.26% or 0.40 points to 153.45.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which rose 5.18% to 21.11, Mersen (EPA:) which was up 3.11% to settle at 41.50 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which gained 2.94% to close at 58.16.
The worst performers were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which was down 20.04% to 4.07 in late trade, Aperam SA (AS:) which lost 5.74% to settle at 28.58 and SES Imagotag (EPA:) which was down 4.37% to 94.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 306 to 218 and 100 ended unchanged.
Shares in Technip Energies BV (EPA:) rose to all time highs; up 5.18% or 1.04 to 21.11. Shares in Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 20.04% or 1.02 to 4.07.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.52% or 10.05 to $1,927.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.55 to hit $70.41 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.91% or 0.68 to trade at $75.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 102.53.
