Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.67%, while the index gained 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which rose 2.19% or 0.94 points to trade at 44.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) added 2.05% or 0.98 points to end at 48.78 and Capgemini SE (EPA:) was up 1.96% or 3.25 points to 168.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefour SA (EPA:), which fell 4.55% or 0.83 points to trade at 17.41 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:) declined 0.54% or 0.32 points to end at 58.98 and Thales (EPA:) was down 0.37% or 0.50 points to 133.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:) which rose 3.63% to 15.15, Eurazeo (EPA:) which was up 2.92% to settle at 54.70 and Wendel (EPA:) which gained 2.76% to close at 85.60.
The worst performers were Carrefour SA (EPA:) which was down 4.55% to 17.41 in late trade, ALD SA (EPA:) which lost 3.14% to settle at 8.95 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:) which was down 0.78% to 177.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 290 to 231 and 104 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.90% or 17.55 to $1,964.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.70% or 0.56 to hit $80.66 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.51 to trade at $84.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 103.56.
