(Reuters) – The time is coming closer for the Federal Reserve to consider cutting its benchmark policy rate, St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem said on Thursday.

“It now appears the balance of risks on inflation and unemployment have shifted. The time may be nearing when an adjustment to moderately restrictive policy may be appropriate,” Musalem said during an event in Louisville, Kentucky.
