ECB will continue to tighten monetary policy-FT

Budrigannews.com – According to a report in the Financial Times on Monday, Head of the Dutch Central Bank Klaas Knot stated that the ECB would achieve “quite a decent pace of tightening” through half-percentage point increases with five policy meetings occurring between now and July 2023 before borrowing costs eventually reached their peak by the summer.

In an interview with the newspaper, Knot stated, “The risk of us doing too little is still the bigger risk.” We are only just starting the second half.
