ECB raises rates to fight inflation
Budrigannews.com – As anticipated, the European Central Bank raised interest rates by 50 basis points on Thursday and indicated that it would increase them further.
The borrowing costs for the ECB’s main refinancing operations and marginal lending facility increased to 2.50 percent and 2.75 percent, respectively, while the ECB’s deposit rate now stands at 2%.
