Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.95%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which fell 1.34% or 2.25 points to trade at 165.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) fell 1.46% or 10.60 points to end at 716.30 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 1.91% or 16.20 points to 832.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 6.25% or 11.66 points to trade at 174.80 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) declined 6.24% or 95.50 points to end at 1,435.00 and Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) was down 6.02% or 18.20 points to 284.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 132 to 25 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.24% or 95.50 to 1,435.00. Shares in Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.02% or 18.20 to 284.20.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.09% or 2.77 to $86.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.13% or 2.99 to hit $92.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 21.95 to trade at $1,704.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 1.18% to 7.48, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.97% at 109.71.
