Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.65%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 3.91% or 11.60 points to trade at 308.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 3.85% or 4.15 points to end at 112.00 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was up 3.77% or 76.00 points to 2,094.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 3.56% or 38.00 points to trade at 1,028.00 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 3.43% or 7.15 points to end at 201.40 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 3.02% or 24.00 points to 770.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 75 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.42% or 1.45 to $103.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.11% or 1.19 to hit $107.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 13.40 to trade at $1,942.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was unchanged 0.05% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.48.
