Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.20%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.20% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 1.68% or 325.00 points to trade at 19,675.00 at the close. Meanwhile, DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) added 1.34% or 14.00 points to end at 1,056.50 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 1.30% or 2.90 points to 226.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 4.40% or 6.82 points to trade at 148.10 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 2.93% or 2.62 points to end at 86.90 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was down 2.59% or 18.50 points to 694.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.40% or 6.82 to 148.10.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.01% or 1.07 to $106.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.61 to hit $108.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 18.23 to trade at $1,835.47 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 1.07% to 7.15, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.05% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 104.53.
