Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.41%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 6.09% or 101.50 points to trade at 1,769.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 3.21% or 26.00 points to end at 836.60 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 2.49% or 420.00 points to 17,260.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 1.80% or 5.20 points to trade at 283.60 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 0.65% or 0.50 points to end at 76.60 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 0.48% or 1.80 points to 372.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 89 to 60 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.62% or 1.74 to $109.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.57% or 1.71 to hit $110.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 7.20 to trade at $1,823.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.55% to 7.01, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 103.43.
