Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.25%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.25% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 2.44% or 5.10 points to trade at 213.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) added 1.98% or 12.20 points to end at 629.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 1.83% or 2.10 points to 117.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 3.35% or 4.00 points to trade at 115.50 at the close. Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) declined 3.34% or 15.40 points to end at 445.80 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 2.33% or 61.00 points to 2,560.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 77 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.10% or 1.06 to $97.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.82% or 0.82 to hit $101.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 8.40 to trade at $1,946.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was unchanged 0.05% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 99.83.
