Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.13%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 1.89% or 14.60 points to trade at 788.60 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 0.77% or 130.00 points to end at 17,030.00 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 0.76% or 17.00 points to 2,259.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which fell 6.96% or 119.50 points to trade at 1,598.00 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 5.22% or 8.74 points to end at 158.60 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 2.83% or 10.40 points to 357.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 114 to 33 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.07% or 0.08 to $111.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.18% or 0.20 to hit $114.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 3.65 to trade at $1,817.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.46% to 7.10, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 104.65.
