Credit Suisse has increased its capital by more than 2 billion
Budrigannews.com – Thursday, Credit Suisse revealed the final outcome of its 4.25 billion Swiss franc capital raise, stating that 98.2 percent of shareholder rights to buy stock at a discount had been exercised in the fundraising’s second phase.
The capital increase, which was intended to fund an overhaul of the scandal-plagued lender, was said to have used subscription rights for 872.9 million new shares, according to Switzerland’s second largest bank.
This indicated that Credit Suisse had, as anticipated, raised 2.24 billion francs in addition to the 1.8 billion francs it had raised from an earlier stock placement with a group of institutional investors led by Saudi National Bank.
