Continental and Ambarella cooperate in field of artificial intelligence
Budrigannews.com – Ambarella, an artificial intelligence chip manufacturer based in California and Germany (NASDAQ:) announced a partnership on Thursday to produce autonomous driving software and hardware.
The two businesses will concentrate on what is known as Level 2 plus autonomous driving, which provides drivers with a brief opportunity to take their hands off the wheel through features such as assisted cruise control and lane centering.
System on a chip (SoC) semiconductors, which combine multiple CPUs on a single logic board to provide artificial intelligence processing, are developed by Ambarella.
According to the statement, Continental and Ambarella will jointly develop the technology, which will include high-resolution cameras, radar, lidar, and the necessary software.
A long-range lidar sensor based on AEye’s patents has been integrated into the German automaker’s short-range lidar technology as part of its minority stake in another California-based lidar startup.
