Congressman Angie Craig was attacked in Washington

Budrigannews.com – A statement from her office said that U.S. Representative Angie Craig was attacked on Thursday in the elevator of her apartment building in Washington, D.C.
Nick Coe, her chief of staff, stated that the Democrat congresswoman from Minnesota had bruises but was “otherwise physically okay.” Coe went on to say that there was no evidence that the attack was motivated by politics.
Coe stated that the legislator “defended herself from the attacker” during the early morning attack. Her office added that the assailant left the scene of the assault.
Her chief of staff added:
“Rep. Craig is grateful to the DC Metropolitan Police Department for their quick response and asks for privacy at this time.”
