Budrigannews.com – Coca-Cola and Grammy-winning singer Rosala have collaborated on a new limited-edition flavor called Coca-Cola Move. Coca-Cola hasn’t revealed what Move is supposed to taste like, like it hasn’t revealed what its other high-concept flavors taste like.
Move, like Starlight, Byte, and Dreamworld before it, lacks a typical flavor like cherry. Instead, the drink is supposed to be a mood or an idea, in this case, transformation.
Coca-Cola (KO) “took inspiration from the many facets of transformation, curating a unique blend of both bold and delicate flavors that honors a great Coca-Cola (KO) taste, while simultaneously pushing the envelope of what it can be” for the flavor profile, according to a company spokesperson.
Move’s zero-sugar version tasted like popcorn to this reporter. or, at least, similar to Coke with popcorn flavor. The beverage has notes of buttery caramel and is sweet. Although one could argue that popcorn is really just modified corn, it’s hard to say if that was the brand’s goal.
The limited-edition items are a way for Coca-Cola to promote its flagship product, Coke.
James Quincey, CEO of Coca-Cola, stated at the Redburn CEO conference in November, “They’re not designed to be variants that will last forever, but they are more engaging and more interesting, demonstrably.” Testing the limits … that is about commitment with purchasers.”
Soft drink manufacturers have had to come up with innovative new products as demand for full-sugar soda has decreased. Coca-Cola now has a new way to reach consumers online thanks to the addition of digital experiences to the experimental flavors that have been appearing since last year.
Customers of Dreamworld were able to purchase virtual goods for their online avatars after Byte made its debut in Fortnite. A QR code on Starlight’s can let customers enter a holographic Ava Max concert.
Moves can also has a playlist, a personality quiz that helps make a 3D avatar, and a QR code that takes users to behind-the-scenes content. Rosala is putting out a new single and video to go with the soda as part of the partnership.
Additionally, working with Rosala has additional advantages: gaining favor with her followers. In 2022, the Spanish musician embarked on her first global tour and received international critical acclaim.
Others have had success by partnering with well-known musicians and artists, such as McDonald’s (MCD), which has used these partnerships to boost sales.
A musician has already collaborated with Coca-Cola. It collaborated with Marshmello, a masked celebrity DJ and electronic music producer, to create a Coke beverage in June. Marshmello’s favorite flavors, strawberry and watermelon, were present in that drink.
Beginning on February 20, Move will be available in stores in the United States and Canada. It costs the same as a regular Coke and is available with or without sugar.
