Chinese Xpeng can lower the price of a cars

Budrigannews.com – Xpeng, a Chinese automaker (NYSE:) a notice on its official WeChat account on Tuesday announced price cuts for some models in the country, following similar actions by Tesla (NASDAQ:) and escalating the likelihood of a wider price war.
According to the notice, Xpeng decreased the starting prices of its most popular pure electric P7 sedan by 12.5%, bringing them down to 209,900 yuan (about $31,015). Based on Reuters calculations based on the prices, the automaker also reduced the prices of all P5 sedan and G3i sports-utility vehicle models by 10 to 13 percent.
In a statement released following the price reduction, an Xpeng spokesperson stated to Reuters, “We hope to make intelligent vehicles more accessible to more people with more competitive prices.”
Xpeng stated that it would provide complimentary extended maintenance services to vehicle owners who purchased their vehicles prior to the price reduction.
