China aims to build 461,000 kilometres of national highway by 2035 – state planner

Budrigannews.com – China aims to build a total of 461,000 kilometres (286,452 miles) of national highway by 2035, compared with 382,000 kilometres by the end of 2021, the state planner said on Tuesday.

Authorities are doubling down on an infrastructure push, dusting off an old playbook to revive a faltering economy, which has been hit by COVID-19 lockdowns, a property market downturn and soft consumer spending.
