Caisse des Depots to reopen pawnshop thanks to Macron
Budrigannews.com – According to a statement released by his office on Thursday, President Emmanuel Macron intends to retain Eric Lombard as head of the public-sector lender Caisse des Depots (CDC).
In 2017, Lombard was appointed to lead Caisse des Depots. He previously held the position of head of insurer Generali’s French businesses and served as an advisor to Socialist governments in the 1990s.
Both houses of parliament need to vote in favor of his new mandate.
The CDC oversees deposits in well-liked tax-free savings accounts and holds stakes in numerous high-profile French businesses.
