Business investor sentiment is growing in Europe
Budrigannews.com – According to a survey released on Monday, investor morale in the euro area rose for the third consecutive month in January to its highest level since June 2022. However, it remained in negative territory, indicating a difficult economic situation.
Analysts had predicted a reading of -18.0 for Sentix’s euro zone index in January, which rose to -17.5 points from -21.0 in December.
In a statement, Sentix Managing Director Patrick Hussy stated, “The January data in the sentix economic indices indicate a further improvement.”
“(But) the assessment of the current situation has virtually not changed, with only the expectations values indicating a greater easing of the situation.”
The expectations index reached its highest point since February 2022, rising to -15.8 from -22.0 in December. The euro zone’s current situation index also increased to -19.3 from -20.0, its highest level since August 2022 and the third increase in a row.
