Business activity in Canada grows weaker forecast-PMI

Budrigannews.com – According to Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data released on Monday, Canadian economic activity expanded at a slower pace in February.
From 60.1 in January, the seasonally adjusted index decreased to 51.6.
A panel of purchasing managers from across Canada used the Ivey PMI to determine the variation in economic activity from month to month. A perusing over 50 shows an expansion in movement.
The supplier deliveries index increased from 52.3 to 55.8, while the employment gauge decreased to an adjusted 59.4 from 60.5 in January.
From 54.7, the unadjusted PMI dropped to 50.8.
