Business activity in Canada grows faster than expected-report
Budrigannews.com – According to Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data released on Tuesday, Canadian economic activity expanded at a faster pace in November and a measure of price pressures eased.
From 50.1 in October, the seasonally adjusted index increased to 51.4 in November.
A panel of purchasing managers from across Canada used the Ivey PMI to determine the variation in economic activity from month to month. An increase in activity is indicated by a reading above 50.
The prices index was at 63.5, down from 69.8 in October, and the employment gauge fell to an adjusted 54.3 from 54.6.
From 51.4, the unadjusted PMI increased slightly to 51.5.
