(Reuters) – European regulators have asked Google (NASDAQ:) for more information about a secret advertising partnership with Meta (NASDAQ:), which ignored the search company’s own rules on how minors should be treated online, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.

Officials have been looking into a series of ad campaigns promoting social media platform Instagram to teenagers, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
