SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil’s accession to the OECD will require whoever wins the presidential election in October to continue the reforms needed to meet membership requirements, Myron Brilliant, head of the International Affairs Division, told a press conference in Sao Paulo on Thursday.

“Whoever wins will need to continue the structural reforms needed to meet the OECD criteria,” he said in response to a question from Reuters. “Putting Brazil on the path to join… [is a] commitment to prosperity and to improving the overall business environment,” he added.
