Budrigannews.com – According to Michelle Bolsonaro’s Instagram post on Monday, the former president of Brazil was admitted to a hospital in Florida with intestinal discomfort following a stabbing he sustained during the 2018 election campaign.
Dr. Antonio Luiz Macedo, who has been treating Bolsonaro in Brazil since the stabbing, stated that Bolsonaro does not require surgery despite having an intestinal subocclusion, or blockage.
He stated to Reuters that “it is not a serious case.”
A family source had earlier stated that Bolsonaro’s condition was “not worrying.”
Earlier in the day, the Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported that Bolsonaro was experiencing abdominal pain.
Since being stabbed, Bolsonaro has had six surgeries, four of which have been directly related to the attack.
In the past few years, he has also experienced cases of bowel obstructions and adhesions.
The worst attack on state institutions since Brazil returned to democracy in the 1980s was launched on Sunday by Bolsonaro supporters in the capital.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who took office on January 1 and became president, blamed Bolsonaro for inflaming his supporters with a campaign of unsubstantiated claims about election fraud. 48 hours prior to the end of his term, Bolsonaro flew to Florida.
