Bpost CEO Quits Due to Non-Compliance with Policy
Budrigannews.com – On Friday, the Belgian postal service Bpost announced that a previously announced review had revealed noncompliance with its policies as well as indications of noncompliance with applicable laws, thereby terminating the boss’s mandate.
In a statement, the organization stated, “The review has been extended to the current concession for the distribution of newspapers and periodicals in Belgium, which revealed elements that may indicate potential violations of applicable laws.”
On October 24, Bpost had communicated about it.
The company, whose shares were suspended earlier on Friday, added that Dirk Tirez, the company’s CEO, and the board had decided to “mutually terminate their collaboration” with two other people, Bpost did not name them.

Audrey Hanard, President of the Board, stated, “We are well aware of the gravity of the situation and that the trust of our customers and employees may be affected by these revelations.”
Without providing any additional information, the company stated that it will look for a new CEO.
Hanard continued, “I can assure you that operationally it is running smoothly in all three business units.”
Last month, Bpost lowered its 2022 earnings forecast, stating that volumes could be impacted during the busy holiday season due to record-low consumer confidence.
