Boxers Andrew Tate detained and may be involved in human trafficking
Budrigannews.com – On Thursday, polarizing internet personality and former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate was arrested by Romanian prosecutors on suspicion of rape, human trafficking, and organizing a criminal organization.
After conducting a raid on their Bucharest properties, prosecutors from the anti-organized crime unit announced in a statement that Tate, who has been banned from many social media platforms for making racist remarks and making comments about women, and his brother Tristan will be held in custody for a period of 24 hours along with two Romanian suspects.
Since April, the Tate brothers have been the subject of criminal investigation.
They didn’t say anything, but their lawyer said they were taken into custody.
Prosecutors stated that “the four suspects appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing, and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialized websites for a cost,” and that the group’s mission was to “create an organized crime group.”
“They would have received significant financial gains.”
Investigators said they had found six ladies who had been physically taken advantage of by the suspects.
Tate has stated that raped women belong to men and that they are partially to blame.
