Blast Royale Concludes Investor-Studded $5M Private Token Sale
- Blast Royale earns $5M in seed round.

- Blast Royale’s developer First Light Games announced the news.
Blast Royale, a blockchain-based play-and-earn mobile game, has successfully raised $5 million during its private token sale. As announced by its developer, First Light Games, the funds gathered shall be used to further develop the game, grow the community, and attract top talents in the industry.
The seed round was co-led by Animoca Brands and Mechanism Capital. In addition, it was attended by top investors such as DeFiance Capital, Dragonfly Capital, Double Peak, Play Ventures Future Fund, C² Ventures, Polygon, DWeb3, Morningstar Ventures, AvocadoDAO, Merit Circle, and Ancient 8. Notable angel investors, including Nick Chong and Santiago R Santos, also participated in the private sale.
Moreover, First Light Games CEO Neil McFarland talked in great detail about his thoughts on this new milestone:

Meanwhile, Yat Siu, the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Animoca Brands, shared that their team was “very impressed” with the topnotch gameplay quality that Blast Royale provides its users. He further states, “Given the progress so far and the First Light Games team’s strong pedigree of several iconic hit games, we believe that Blast Royale will be an appealing and compelling metaverse entry for a new generation of gamers.”
Furthermore, Eva Wu of Mechanism Capital, praised the First Light team–describing them as “first-class.” She also disclosed that they are very excited to work with First Light to “tackle what a play-to-earn world might look like.”
Blast Royale is currently built on the Polygon L2 chain and is slated for a testnet release at the end of Q2. In this game, players gear up their characters with NFT items and take part in Battle Royales where they earn Craft Spice, which can be used to upgrade their equipment.
