Black Friday sales hit a new record
Budrigannews.com – According to a report released on Saturday, Black Friday shoppers in the United States spent a record $9.12 billion online as they took advantage of steep discounts on everything from smartphones to toys.
Adobe (NASDAQ:) reported a 2.3% rise in Black Friday online spending.Adobe Analytics, Inc.’s data and insights arm, said that despite deals starting as early as October, consumers waited for discounts until the traditionally busy shopping days.
Adobe Examination, which estimates online business by dissecting exchanges at sites, approaches information covering buys at 85% of the main 100 web retailers in the US.
It had predicted a modest 1 percent increase in Black Friday sales.
Adobe anticipates that Cyber Monday will once again be the season’s biggest day for online shopping, bringing in $11.2 billion in spending.
After the pandemic had hampered in-store shopping for the previous two years, shoppers were anticipated to flock to stores on Black Friday. However, sporadic rain in some regions of the country caused stores to experience lower foot traffic than usual.
According to Adobe data, 48% of all Black Friday digital sales were made by Americans using their smartphones to make purchases during the holiday season.
