Biden won’t deliver speech at Super Bowl-White House

Budrigannews.com – The last-ditch effort to get President Joe Biden to talk to Fox before the Super Bowl has failed.
It is not likely that Biden will appear on Fox, the network that will be broadcasting the Super Bowl this year, for the annual presidential interview. A workaround was attempted by the Biden administration to avoid a meeting with Fox News, with whom the White House has a contentious relationship. In a tweet on Friday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Fox has canceled the interview.
Instead, Biden’s aides had been working on getting an interview with Fox Soul, a live streaming platform owned by FOX Television Stations for Black Americans.
The White House could have avoided having to sit down with one of Fox News’ anchors or reporters by conducting an interview with the Fox Soul network instead. This would have allowed the White House to continue having the traditional pre-game conversation with a Fox-aligned outlet. However, that strategy was scrapped.
“The President was looking forward to speaking with Fox Soul about important issues affecting Black Americans’ day-to-day lives, the State of the Union, and the Super Bowl. In a tweet on Friday, Jean-Pierre stated, “We’ve been informed that Fox Corp. has asked for the interview to be cancelled.”
