Biden urges Americans to fight anti-Semitism
Budrigannews.com – During a Hanukkah celebration on Monday, President Joe Biden urged Americans to join the fight against rising anti-Semitism in the United States.
“Today, we must all make it abundantly clear that there is no safe haven in America for anti-Semitism, hate speech, or any other form of violence. “Forever,” Biden stated.
Additionally, he stated, “Silence is complicity.”
The remarks were delivered by Biden at the first-ever official White House menorah-adorned Hanukkah reception. It is the first Jewish object to be included in the White House’s collection.
“Until now, the White House has never had its own menorah. “It is now a cherished piece of this home, your home tonight,” Jill Biden, the first lady, told the gathered crowd at the White House.
The action taken by the Democratic president comes at a time when nationwide reports of anti-Semitism have grown. Biden recently launched a new initiative to create a national strategy to combat anti-Semitism.
The issue has attracted titles late weeks after conservative previous President Donald Trump facilitated racial oppressor Scratch Fuentes and the artist previously known as Kanye West at his exclusive hangout in Florida.
Last year saw the biggest number of hostile to Semitic occurrences, including murder, actual attacks, provocation and defacement, since the Counter Slander Association started gathering records a long time back, the prejudice guard dog said in its latest yearly review.
More Continuation investigation of conspiracy to murder FBI agent
More than 7,200 hate crimes in the United States were reported in 2021, according to data released earlier this month by the FBI. Over 60% of the incidents that were reported were caused by race, ancestry, or ethnicity. About one in six of the incidents were caused by bias against sexual orientation, and one in seven were caused by bias against religion.
