Biden to meet with campaign sponsors

Budrigannews.com – Three people who are familiar with the plans say that U.S. President Joe Biden will hold a number of fundraisers in the coming weeks for wealthy Democratic donors as part of his expected bid to return to the White House in 2024.
Next week, Biden and the Democratic National Committee will hold fundraisers in New York and Philadelphia to celebrate legislative accomplishments during official presidential visits. The three sources added that the pace and number of fundraisers are anticipated to pick up in March.
One donor, who assisted Biden in raising funds in 2020 and has pledged to do so again, stated:
“We have been told to expect fundraising to ramp up in the time frame of March and April.”
Biden has not yet declared his intention to run for reelection, but he is expected to do so in the weeks following the February 7 State of the Union address.
As the campaign aims to raise more than a billion dollars for what is anticipated to be the most expensive presidential campaign in history, the fundraising kickoff will be centered on wealthy donors.
As he competed against Republican Donald Trump in 2020, Biden’s campaign was the first in history to raise more than $1 billion.
In order to help defend Senate seats in Ohio, West Virginia, Arizona, and Montana in a difficult congressional map in 2024, the Democratic National Committee will also need to raise funds.
In 2020, outside organizations raised an additional $580 million for Biden. Sources tell Reuters that aides are divided on whether or not to rely on a super-PAC for outside assistance this time around and, if so, which one.
In order to secure international ambassadorships, Biden will need to turn to the same Wall Street and tech industry donors that his administration has at times demonized.
An early test of Biden’s enthusiasm for a re-election campaign and an early test of his endurance as an 80-year-old president who will have to balance the demands of the White House with those of the campaign trail are the upcoming fundraising efforts.
Biden was forced to avoid the campaign trail in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic and instead raise money through online fundraisers. Biden will have to run a more conventional campaign this time around, with a mix of official presidential duties, campaign stops, and events for fundraising.
