Budrigannews.com – His lawyer stated on Wednesday that the Justice Department of the United States is planning a search of President Joe Biden’s beach house in Delaware and that the president is cooperating with the search.
Bob Bauer, Biden’s personal lawyer, said in a statement, “We agreed to cooperate,” and that additional information would be made public once the search was finished.

During a three-and-a-half-hour search of President Joe Biden’s beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, on Wednesday, the U.S. Justice Department did not find any documents with classified markings, but it did take some materials for further examination, according to Biden’s attorney.
The FBI agents’ morning search appeared to be an extension of the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents.
Materials were previously discovered in his Wilmington, Delaware, home and a Washington office he used between Barack Obama’s time as vice president and his election as president.
In a statement, Bob Bauer, Biden’s personal attorney, stated that the planned Wednesday search took place from 8:30 a.m. to noon in “coordination and cooperation with the president’s attorneys.”
Bauer stated, “No documents with classified markings were found.” The DOJ took some documents and handwritten notes that appear to relate to his time as Vice President, following the Wilmington procedure.
The search was carried out by the FBI, which is a division of the Justice Department, according to a source.
Biden, who is expected to announce a re-election campaign in the coming weeks or months, has been plagued by the issue politically. It has deprives him and other Democrats of a weapon against the former president, Donald Trump, who also had classified documents discovered at his residence.
Trump may face Biden in the general election in 2024 because he has launched his own campaign for reelection.
Bauer stated earlier on Wednesday that the Department of Justice decided not to notify the public in advance of the search.
He stated, “Under DOJ’s standard procedures, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate.” This was done in the interest of operational security and integrity. The current search is a further stage in a comprehensive and prompt DOJ procedure that we will continue to fully support and facilitate.”
Additionally, classified documents have been discovered in the residence of Mike Pence, Trump’s former vice president, providing Biden with political cover.
Pence has stated that he accepts responsibility for the documents found, and Biden has pledged to cooperate with the searches. Last year, the FBI conducted a search of Trump’s resort and home in Florida because of his reluctance to turn over the items in his possession.
Two separate special counsels have been appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to examine how Trump and Vice President Biden handled such documents.
All former vice presidents and presidents of the United States have reportedly been requested by the National Archives to search their personal files for any classified documents or other presidential material that should have been turned over when they left office.
Despite the fact that no current or former president or vice president has been accused of wrongdoing, it is against the law to knowingly or willfully remove or retain classified information.
