Biden hides list of visitors to house where secret documents were found

Budrigannews.com – The White House Counsel’s office said on Monday that President Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, where classified documents from his time as vice president were discovered, does not have any visitor logs because it is a private residence.
“His personal residence is private, as it has been for every President throughout modern history. “However, after the previous administration ended them, President Biden restored the norm and tradition of keeping White House visitors logs, including publishing them regularly,” the White House Counsel’s office said in a statement.
In contrast to previous practices, Biden’s Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, did not release visitor logs during his four years in office.
After classified documents were discovered in Democrat Biden’s office and garage, the Republican chairman of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee demanded visitor logs for his Wilmington residence on Sunday.
Republicans have attempted to draw parallels between the Biden documents case and the Trump documents case, in which the federal government is investigating Trump’s handling of classified documents after he leaves office in 2021.
The two cases are different, according to legal experts. According to the White House, the documents found by Biden’s team have been turned over. Prior to an FBI search of his Palm Beach, Florida resort in August, Trump had resisted doing so.
According to Biden’s legal team, they discovered classified documents at a Washington think-tank and in his Delaware home that pertain to his time as vice president under then-President Barack Obama. On Saturday, his lawyers said they found five more pages in his house. After a CBS News report last week, the information about the think tank’s materials was made public. The information was discovered in November.
On Thursday, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to look into how Vice President Biden handled the sensitive government documents. Trump’s handling of classified documents and his unsuccessful attempts to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election are the subject of a separate investigation by a special counsel.
