Ash Carter former US Secretary of Defense has died

Budrigannews.com – According to a statement released on Tuesday by Ash Carter’s family, the 68-year-old former U.S. defense secretary passed away on Monday evening from a sudden cardiac event.
During the final two years of the Obama administration, Carter was in charge of launching a military strategy to defeat the Islamic State military group and drive it back from Syria and Iraq.
Carter has been in charge of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs ever since he left public service.
