Apple Iwatch infringed patent owned by Masimo

Budrigannews.com – A judge in the United States ruled that Apple had imported and sold certain Apple Watches with light-based pulse oximetry functionality and components, infringing on one of Masimo Corp.’s patents for pulse oximeters, Masimo (NASDAQ:) on Tuesday, said.

According to the manufacturer of medical devices, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) will now consider whether to impose an import ban on these Apple Watches.

In a statement, Apple stated, “We respectfully disagree with today’s decision and look forward to a full review by the Commission.”
